https://www.youcaring.com/saving-my-cats-from-cancer-precious-pumpkin-and-lashona-moon-557056

We will be filming a video for you to see both of the cats in need.

Precious Pumpkin and Lashona Moon.

Now, both may be very loud and upset so please understand that Cancer is extremely painful and very hard to watch a loved one suffer.

Had we more than enough funds to pay for the treatment they would be at the vets for any needed treatments.

We are asking for each person to donate a dollar.

That dollar could save their lives.

Please share with everyone you know on or offline, people you text, call, Skype, chat with on social media the world over. Our cats and we need you.

Thanks to our first hero Mr. Jeff Stoll he's our cats Superman!!

[412] GREAT PNC Baseball, today,

Hi,

#1. Join us in the stands today at PNC Park, (gates open at 3:30 pm,
game at 4:30), for the City League Baseball Championship Game as the
Langley Mustangs take on The Dice Dragons.

This is one of the best community events each year. And WPIAL and
state playoff games yet to come.

(See my blog as I'll be getting autographs at the game.)

#2. KQV's radio poll today asks about the re-formation of the Pgh
Ethics Board. Built in oversight should happen, as per our city's
charter. But that has been ignored for many years by the Murphy
Administration. Now it is time to get that going again. Then we might
be able to get away from the TWO Oversight Boards (ICA & Act 47) that
do next to nothing anyway and "WHICH" hunts on miss-spending members
of council. (

(See my blog to learn what I mean by WHICH, not witch, HUNT.)

#3. I'm hosting a "HOUSE CONCERT" with a fantastic recording artist,
singer/songwriter, Joe Jenks, on Friday night, June 2 with program to
being at 7 pm and 8:30 pm sharp. This is tied in with a seminar on
Saturday called, "Labors Lost Legacy" that happens at the Friends
Meeting House.

The concert (with music and message) helps to kick off efforts to
reach to unions and modern workers while getting onto the November
ballot for PA Senate, 42nd district, as an INDEPENDENT. Furthermore,
I'm support Russ Diamond's effort for Governor, and he'll need more
than 100,000 signatures! I only need more than 500 on my nomination
papers. You're help and interest in these efforts are welcomed so
voters in Pennsylvania have a real choice on our next election day.

I am looking for your support.

My fellow producers, we are in the process of drafting a Producers Bill Of Rights and we need your support. Please come to the next producers meeting and give feedback then sign on to the Bill Of Rights. The meetings will explain why we are writing a Bill Of Rights. In short, we want our station to function even better than it does now and we want all producers to feel that their feedback is as vital to the station as the machines and staff are to keeping the station running.

I understand that we have over five hundred producers at
PCTV 21. As a new board member I want feedback from every member of the station so that I can do my best in representing my fellow producers needs.

PITTSBURGH GENIUS TV series debuts on PCTV21 July 3 at 7PM

June 18, 2006
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Contact: Dan Handley
[412-427-7242; dhandley@pittsburghgenius.com]

PITTSBURGH GENIUS TV series showcases Pittsburgh as a world-class powerhouse of discovery and innovation
PITTSBURGH, PA (June 16, 2006)--Some of the most exciting research in the world takes place right here in Pittsburgh, but few Pittsburghers ever get to actually see what goes on in those university and corporate research buildings they pass by every day. University of Pittsburgh doctoral candidate Dan Handley takes viewers on exclusive, behind-the-scenes tours of the Pittsburgh-area laboratories where this world-class research takes place in his mini-documentary series, PITTSBURGH GENIUS. Part interview show and part reality TV, each 30-minute episode showcases the research of one of Pittsburgh’s world-famous experts.
“Pittsburghers deserve to hear what is great about their city,” said Handley. “And one way to improve everyone's perception of Pittsburgh, both here and throughout the nation, is to give people a behind-the-scenes, first-hand look at our region’s impressive medical and technological achievements. We have enormous intellectual capital in our region and it really deserves to be showcased for all to see.”
The monthly series will make its cable television debut on Monday, July 3, 2006 on Pittsburgh Community Television 21 (Comcast Cable Channel 21) at 7:00 PM and will be repeated throughout the month. The debut show features Professor Howie Choset of the Carnegie Mellon University Robotics Institute. The show will also be available via internet webcast and podcast. More details, as well as a complete schedule of upcoming episodes and future show topics, may be found at http://www.pittsburghgenius.com.
Dan Handley earned a B.A. in biophysics from Johns Hopkins University and subsequently gained extensive research experience throughout the U.S. in both academia and industry. He relocated to Pittsburgh in 2000 to attend Carnegie Mellon University to earn a Master’s degree in logic and computation. He is currently a doctoral candidate in human genetics at the University of Pittsburgh. He is also PCTV21 Communit Producer and a member of Pittsburgh Filmmakers.
This project is supported in part by a Seed Award from The Sprout Fund. The Sprout Fund is a nonprofit organization supporting innovative ideas and grassroots community projects that are catalyzing change in Pittsburgh. Each of The Sprout Fund’s programs, Seed Award and Public Art, is designed to advance a community initiative from idea through dialogue to implementation, creating a critical mass of activity for positive regional change. Sprout believes a vital component to building healthy and vibrant communities is civic engagement; serving those who demonstrate the drive and the capacity to think creatively about their communities. With ongoing local support and continued appreciation by the communities it serves, the Sprout Fund will continue to provide an entry point for Pittsburghers to become involved and active in their communities and support projects that have the collective power to shape a new culture and vision for the region.

Subject: [producer-announce] Senate Action Alert & COPE Act Update

SAVE ACCESS TV UPDATE AND ACTION ALERT

The Fight For Public Access TV Moves to the Senate!
Contact your Senators Now!

Go to http://saveaccess.org/takeaction

On June 8th—in a devastating blow to Public Access TV and democratic media in America—the House of Representatives voted in favor of the COPE Act. The COPE Act would limit the future funding and channel space for Public, Educational and Governmental (PEG) Access TV. The good news is that the New York Delegation in the House received an overwhelming amount of emails, phone calls and letters from Public Access TV supporters and as a result many of them voted against the COPE Act.

The fight isn’t over—a companion bill to the COPE Act must be passed in the Senate before COPE can be written into law—the Senate bill is called the Communications, Consumers’ Choice, and Broadband Deployment Act of 2006 (S.2686). This Senate bill will be “marked-up” on June 22nd—and could be voted on in the Senate as early as the beginning of July!

It is urgently important that we now let NY Senators Hillary Clinton and Chuck Schumer know they must oppose this bill—and any other legislation that would harm Public Access TV!

Take a few minutes from your schedule and go to http://saveaccess.org/takeaction to fill out and send electronic letters to our Senators—or call and fax their offices with your comments. Please tell your friends and family in New York State and all over the U.S. to do the same. The saveaccess.org site enables people to contact their Senators from every State.

On June 22nd, the Senate will mark up the S.2686 bill, please raise your voice and tell your Senators:

1) S.2686 and any new legislation must guarantee current or increased levels of funding and channel capacity for Public Access TV . Currently, the bill would weaken or end Public, Educational and Governmental (PEG) TV! PEG TV is a cornerstone of local government, education, and our democracy.

2) S.2686 must ensure local control and local oversight of our “Public Rights of Way” and allow local communities to determine their own PEG Access TV needs. PEG TV is America's local television service.

3) S.2686 must explicitly outlaw “redlining” of franchise service areas on the basis of geographic location. We must not allow these phone companies to deny service to low-income and rural communities.

4) S.2686 doesn’t have strong net neutrality provisions to protect an open Internet.

5) Also, remind them the New York City Council unanimously passed Resolution (Res. 0136-2006) on May 10th, opposing the COPE Act or any similar legislation.

Contact Info for New York Senators:
Senator Charles E. Schumer
Phone: (202) 224-6542
Fax: (202) 228-3027

Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton
Phone: (202) 224-4451
Fax: (202) 228-0282

Thanks for all your support! Please continue to check http://mnn.org/saveaccess for up to date local info—and http://saveaccess.org
for updates on what's happening on this issue nationally. For additional information about the passing of the COPE bill go to: http://saveaccess.org/COPEcountdown

House Concert 7 pm (sharp) on Friday, June 2, with a second set at 8:30 pm.

Join Mark Rauterkus and family (Catherine Palmer, Erik & Grant) in
hosting friends, family, neighbors, bloggers, strangers and fellow
music lovers from school, church, labor and sports – and perhaps
politics too, at their home and office:

108 South 12th Street, South Side, Pittsburgh.

RSVP is necessary as space is limited to 35 seats.
Call 412 298 3432 or email Mark@Rauterkus.com
Kids who can sit and enjoy the concert are welcomed (first set).

Mark Rauterkus, community activist, techie, swim coach and
ex-publisher is gathering workers to launch a new campaign for the
November ballot in the general election as candidate for PA Senate,
42nd district as an INDEPENDENT.

Joe Jencks, singer/songwriter, plays guitar and is equally talented as
the other excellent performers hosted in the past. Joe's original
music and ballads are for the everyday, modern workers with many union
songs, tunes of history, struggle, rails, fast-food workers, Rosie the
Riveter (Revised), John Henry and even the Deportee.

Joe is on tour with his latest CD, Rise As One.
Artist donations accepted. CDs for sale.

The next release of the Mark@Rauterkus.Com CD might include the Joe
Jencks tune(s): "We Won" and/or "We Do the Work." Help us decide.

Joe Jencks has been the WINNER of many Folk Festival Songwriting
contests: 2005: Plowshares, Songwriting Contest; South Florida Folk
Festival Songwriting Contest. Winner 2004: Winfield Music Festival
Songwriting Contest. Winner 2004 and 2003 Tumbleweed, Folk Festival
Songwriting Contest.

On Saturday, the day after our House Concert, everyone is encouraged
to consider attending a "free seminar" called, Labor's Lost Legacy,
with Dan Sullivan as instructor to be held at the Friends Meeting
House (4836 Ellsworth Ave) from 10 am to 1 pm. See
http://www.SavingCommunities.org/seminars/laborbirth.html for a full
outline and insights.

Dan is about to start his own tour -- injecting information for
hatching and proposed policies of PA Governor candidates, Swann,
Rendell and Russ Diamond (Independent). The PROPERTY TAX REFORM
efforts are buzzing -- but seemingly without a rudder -- and Dan has
many insights (for progressives and even conservatives) that make
sense, IMNSHO.

Dan will be at our event and say a few short words about his mission
and the seminar. And, after the concert --- we'll have more to explore
about the lyrics and real-world applications together.Expect a time of
reflection after the concert's sets.

= = =
Later this summer:
- We'll hold our open house on the 4th of July, and we'll talk a LOT
about TECHNOLOGY then.

- I'm going to help with the No Sweatshop Bucco -- Pirate Armada on
the rivers when the All-Star Game is in town.

- Helping with nomination papers for ballot access for the PA Senate
is welcomed too. The incumbent should NOT be given a free ride.

- Meetings about the now closed indoor ice rink are pending.

- Hat tip: Langley HS baseball hits the PIAA playoffs next week - and
today Langley's music director gets an award from the UPMC Musician
Hearing Center, with $1,000!

Thanks for help passing the word and for all you do in our community.

Ta.

The streaming of the PCTV 21 content onto the web is looking good and sounding great

PCTV 21 is now streaming. That is wonderful news. Great work
webmaster(s) and producers.

The size of the TV feed is sorta small visually -- but -- the audio is
perfect. And really, the TV looks isn't much of a priority. It works!

Many of our friends who are around the world -- yet alone the county
-- can now tune into the shows without cable. They can watch on the
net.

This is an important milestone. Way to go!

Let it be known to all.

I want to let everyone know that since I have the blog posting set up by e-mail anyone can post. But, what I want people to know is it says posted by Albert but, it may not be posted by me or even a human being, sometimes internet robots search blogs and post adds. If I see those adds I will do my best to get rid of them unless a follow Producer posted it and that producer tells me that they posted it.

Albert

[412] News Release: Key Campaign Staff for Mark Rauterkus for City Council

News Release: Immediate
Monday, January 9, 2006

Michael Cooper, Campiagn Treasurer, Announces Staffers for Mark@Rauterkus.com
Campaign for City Council

Contact:
Michael Cooper, HQ = 412 904 2976, Treasurer@Rauterkus.com

Daniel Repovz, graduate student at Duquesne University, has joined the
reform-minded team at Elect.Rauterkus.com to drive Mark Rauterkus' election
bid onto Pittsburgh's City Council. Repovz' title is Media Coordinator. The
special election is slated for the first Tuesday in March, 2006.

In May 2005, Repovz was on the ballot for Mayor of Pittsburgh in the
Democratic Primary.

Repovz earned an undergraduate degree at the University of Pittsburgh in
Finance. This semester at Duquesne brings Repovz's final course before he
obtains a Masters Degree in Business Administration.

Rauterkus and Repovz were both on the campaign trails in 2005. While Repovz
was debating Bob O'Connor, Bill Peduoto, and Michael Lamb for the Democratic
endorsement for mayor, Rauterkus was seeking a State Senate seat in a campaign
against Wayne Fontana, D, and Michael Diven, R.

"We saw each other many times at various community forums. I was flattered to
hear from Daniel that he was greatly impressed with the way we ran our
campaign for State Senate, especially with the negativity and gross
expenditures from the competitors. The messages and the mission must have
resonated with Daniel, thankfully," said Rauterkus.

Repovz said, "I want to be part of the driving force in a team Rauterkus
victory. Mark's financial reforms and parks initiatives will win with voters
and future generations of all ages: children, parents, students and seniors.
These are vital quality of life issues that are very important to Pittsburgh's
future as well as the region around Pittsburgh."

In the day-to-day operations of the campaign, Repovz will issue press releases
and field analysis to reform Pittsburgh's financial position.

"With the advance leadership ability of Daniel and others, we will be able to
offer solutions for the short-term and long-term," said Rauterkus.

Vicki Duesch, a parent and long-time South Side resident and homeowner, has
been named the campaign manager for the Elect.Rauterkus.com campaign.

"Vicki brings heart and soul to the campaign. Vicki and her son bike daily on
the paths around the South Side and continually access recreation resources in
the third district," said Rauterkus. "Vicki is a wonderful example of a
citizen leader in action. Her grassroots leadership will make a difference in
Pittsburgh and our region."
